Mark Shaw of Advantage West Midlands and Martin Williams of EBS held another Bridge to Growth seminar in Ireland in cooperation with UK Trade & Investment on January 18th and 19th.
We were privileged again to have been offered the use of the Ambassadors’ Residence in a beautiful setting on the edge of the city for the Dublin event.
His Excellency Julian King, the British Ambassador to Ireland and a native of the West Midlands, welcomed everyone to the seminar and added ” The West Midlands region is well placed to serve as an excellent entry point into the UK as it in the centre of a large population and at the hub of the transport networks. He added that the Bridge to Growth offering, being a unique cooperation between the public and private sectors, was one of the best programs he had seen.
Mark Shaw of Advantage West Midlands said
“The quality of the companies attending the two seminars held in Dublin and Limerick was outstanding and while not every company is ready to set up in the West Midlands tomorrow we look forward to starting the process with a number of these companies in what will be a mutually beneficial relationship”.
About 40 companies attended the seminars in Dublin which was followed by a networking lunch, and a breakfast seminar in Limerick the following day. Already 5 companies have committed to come to Birmingham on the 24th and 25th of February to learn more and to meet some of the partners in the program.
