Better Business with Britain
Santa Lucia came to Birmingham again in December. The service of carols and readings with a candlelight procession took place in Birmingham Cathedral and was followed by a reception at the offices of Martineau nearby.
We were pleased to have Andrea Tjäder again as Lucia. Andrea is a Swedish music student at the Birmingham Conservatoire, and sadly for us she is moving on and will not be with us next time.
Birmingham has a relatively small cathedral, and this added to the emotive atmosphere which is not possible in a larger space.
The service is organised by the Swedish Chamber of Commerce and sponsored by Sandvik, Handelsbanken, Martineau and European Business Solutions, without generous support it would not be possible.
