Our Mission:
To become your trusted partner that truly understands what your business needs
EBS is a progressive business that was founded in 1991 to help companies wanting to set up in or export to the United Kingdom. We work exclusively with foreign-owned businesses in the UK and understand the problems they face
EBS Can Make It Happen
Establishing in the UK can be tough for foreign companies – we can make this process simple and straightforward.
EBS has helped to establish subsidiaries of many types of foreign businesses in the UK market, from small family-owned companies to members of publicly quoted groups. The issues that these businesses face when setting up in a new market are very similar, and yet they are all different. At EBS we treat each client as an individual case, each with their individual needs and individual solutions.
EBS was established in 1991, when the company’s initial focus was on accounting and administrative services for Scandinavian companies. Martin Williams, Managing Director of EBS, already had longstanding regional clients, who were delighted to promote EBS through case studies.
After using these case studies to establish close relationships with trade organisations and new clients in Scandinavia, Martin approached regional development agency, Advantage West Midlands (AWM), to propose his idea of working together to attract foreign businesses into the region. This idea soon became a successful regional Foreign Direct Investment Programme called Bridge to Growth, in collaboration with AWM, the University of Warwick Science Park, recruitment and lead generation companies. The Bridge to Growth collaboration set new directions for EBS and aided its expansion into new regions, such as mainland Europe and North America.
In 2011 Bridge to Growth ended due to the closure of regional development agencies, but EBS and its private sector partners continued to work together and decided to jointly launch the UK Market Access Program, which developed into a successful private sector inward investment programme managed by EBS. EBS gained access to a network of complementary suppliers to provide a seamless customer journey.
Today, EBS provides a complete range of services, from formation of a company in the UK, outsourced finance office to bank account opening and other brokerage services, which every company, setting up needs. EBS provides its services not only to the companies from Europe, but also Northern America, the Asia-Pacific region and Latin America.
Martin Williams, Managing Director of EBS, is regularly asked to speak at international events on successful UK Market Entry, and EBS are accepted as trusted advisers by many organisations, such as Department for International Trade, the UK Advisory Network and West Midlands Growth Company. EBS is also a member of IR Global, a network of boutique professional services firms, which can assist the clients to set up anywhere else in the world.
