Michigan based company opened its office and distribution centre in the UK in October 2014. But Tumbl Trak UK’s journey with EBS started three and a half years ago in a conference room in Warwick.
I was on a trip to the UK to do some in-person research regarding opening a UK-based office and warehouse. As part of this trip I had meetings lined up all across the country with different service providers from connections with UK Trade and Investment. EBS was a unique company and were potentially able to tick quite a few boxes for us.
Over the next 6 months we decided we would work with a distributor for a year and start trading in late 2014. As the company formation process began EBS was right there to help with all the steps. As a foreign company we were unaware of all that had to be done to set up a UK company in addition to the requirements of having a foreign owner.
Once we knew where we would begin our journey, Cardiff, there were still a lot of things we had to get ready. As a 1.5 person operation (a part time person, not half of a person), there were going to be many tasks we wouldn’t have time for in the week. We asked EBS to come on board as our accountant, payroll provider and company secretary.
EBS’ role in the formation and operation of our company has been pivotal. We have been very successful with our expansion into Europe and as we continue to grow EBS is able to help us every step of the way.
