Maneno ApS is a Danish technology platform providing a new reading experience to children age 5-12 by embracing gamification and the technological capabilities. This subscription based service, with applications for children, parents and teachers, encourage children to explore the world through reading but also helps parents to track reading development of their little ones.
The company was introduced to EBS by The British Embassy in Copenhagen at the end of 2015, with the aim to set up a UK company, which EBS created in January 2016. EBS took care of all legal compliance, including Registered Office and Company Secretarial services. This way, the company could focus on their UK market expansion, leaving the legal ‘stuff’ in EBS’s hands.
With the cloud based service, there was no need for Maneno to have a physical office, and EBS provided the UK business with the Office Cloud service, including the UK landline number, answered in the company name.
The UK has one of the most friendly tax environments in Europe, and also one of the largest network of investors. The management of Maneno saw the opportunity to attract the investment into the business, and in 2020, the parent company in Denmark decided to create a new holding company in the UK .
EBS once again was involved in order to establish the new holding entity in the United Kingdom.
Jacob Kobber Petersen, Co-Founder of Maneno ApS said: ‘I must say that it has been a pleasure to work with EBS on this task, and that I appreciate that without their patience and agility we would never have succeeded.’
Today, Maneno’s reading platform is used by over 25,000 children across the world, offering over 10,000 books and audiobooks in Danish and English.
